The Birds, The Bees & the Entire Menagerie

A new Australian work exploring love and sexuality.

Can the most important conversation in our lives be the one we are most afraid of?  The Birds, The Bees and The Entire Menagerie  challenges what we were taught about sex, love and the basic elements of human connection.  Is sex still just… sex?

THE BIRDS, THE BEES AND THE ENTIRE MENAGERIE is a Verbatim Theatre Piece that explores how we experience sexuality in modern society.

The piece is a joyous celebration of shifting perspectives and the ever-changing language we use to personally and collectively define our emotion and attraction to other human beings.

Utilizing audio recorded interviews with people of varying cultural, social and gender demographics we will be asking how they learnt about the birds and the bees and whether that informed their current sexual identity today.

Emphasis will be on physical theatre to explore the varying perspectives with a cast of five diverse performers.

Directed by Grace O’Connell with performances by Dale William Morgan, Alys Gwillim, Josie Waller and Adam Golledge
